Rule One - No links to illegal downloads sites

Original Page.

Andrew on: September 11, 2007, 07:55:46 PM

Have a great time here everyone. Please be friendly and observe Rule One: No links to (or requests for) illegal downloads sites of any kind. That means no links to (or requests for) illegal copies of their songs, CDs or DVDs. Posting links to videos on YouTube or other such sites is fine.

Remember Ami, Yumi and the people behind Puffy work hard recording and performing their music. Show your support where it counts and buy their CDs and DVDs.

Ah, so it's hard for you to buy anything in English, hmm? That's strange... Doesn't Brazil speak it's own dialect of Spanish? In the US, many stores that sell CDs have a large section of Spanish CDs.

Sorry for the mistake, I was relying on a lecture in a Spanish class from about two or three years ago, haha. Needless to say, I didn't make it out of Spanish alive. By the time I got to my second year, around the middle of the class, I was no longer interested in Spanish like I used to be.

As for the CDs, there are American releases of certain CDs. The cover for Spike here in America and in Japan is totally different, so I can't see how getting those might be hard. Nice and the Hi Hi soundtrack should've been easy for you to get. Those CDs though might be considered special interest, which stores like Best Buy and Hastings have in abundance. You couldn't find the Hi Hi soundtrack at Walmart, even though it showed it in their online catalog... I tried for like, weeks until I finally found it - on sale, no less - at Best Buy when they finally got it in! Cheesy
v I hope no offense was taken. ^^;

ok

but there's lots of differences between dollar and real(brazilian money) ex:
the kuchibiru motion/oriental diamond costs $17,99 in USA but in Brazil it costs about R$50,00(without shiping(i don't know what's the correct word) price)...
and it arrives here about 1 month!!!

there's a mall in Rio that i found the Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi, and i'll buy it when my uncle comes to my home ^^
i don't live in Rio but my uncle lives...

That CD is fun. I love that CD so much that I had to get it resurfaced because it was scratched (which I think my little nephew did.)

I ordered the Honeycreeper album a couple days ago for my birthday. Because of the shipping method I chose, it'll come in "1 - 2 days" as it says. Though since it's in Japan, it'll probably be sometime late this week or next week. I got one of the first press releases too, so I'll be getting the T-shirt that comes with it. Tongue

krash on: October 09, 2007, 05:54:51 AM

i think my mother will buy the honeycreeper this week! it's awesome! \o/
on cdjapan, it's write that is the first press.... will it come with the T-shirt??

i saw on YesAsia a Korea Version of Honeycreeper! it'll be released today or tomorrow... i'm so confused... Huh check it out

Andrew, quick question that I probably already know the answer to, but I'm gonna ask anyway. Wink

Would this rule also consist of unreleased audience recordings? I have found a couple on taper torrent sites (free downloads/sharing and absolutely nothing official allowed) and would like to link people to any new shows (if any are recorded).

Mode7 on: November 12, 2007, 09:24:28 PM

I'm not in charge, so it's not my say, but I think audience recordings are fine. I mean, the audio will always be inferior compared to any official release of the same performance.. and the concerts only happen so much as it is.

The idea here is to not link to downloads of their officially released music and video. If there was a high-quality live CD or DVD recording, I'd be sure to purchase that.

-My two cents.-

*looks at lighter wallet*
Yep, I know all about that. 3 DVDs and many CDs (and singles) later.

Yeah, I knew it would concern official releases (though I do appreciate the input). I just didn't want to find a torrent of a new live recording, come here and post it, and then get booted (no pun intended) for it.

krash on: November 18, 2007, 12:39:19 PM

i think this rule is weird...

Ami and Yumi said there's no problem with downloading them music...

but the forum is yours and you have to put rules here, so i don't see any big problem about this.

bye bye boo

Mode7 on: November 18, 2007, 01:22:46 PM

It's not too hard to find downloads of their stuff outside of this forum. I mean, all you have to do is hit up the P2P or the torrent sites and there you go.

I do think it's cool that Puffy isn't so hard on downloading their music. It does help to buy their stuff if you do happen to like what you hear though.

They were actually selling Japanese honeycreeper CDs at the concert, so they really just want to get as much exposure as possible. (honeycreeper WILL be seeing a U.S. release next year.)

Jeff on: November 18, 2007, 02:50:47 PM

When and where did they say it's ok to download their music?

I'm sure they meant on iTunes or Sony Connect...

Andrew on: November 19, 2007, 06:27:30 AM

I can guarantee that Ami, Yumi and their management have never said its ok to download their copy written and still-for-sale CDs or DVDs for free from a file sharing website.

If Puffy ever said something about downloading their music they are certainly referring to paid downloads sites that give them a royalty, or single plays at their official myspace or other official site.
