So what songs would you like to hear Puffy cover?

My wife and I saw the musical Mamma Mia last weekend, featuring the music of ABBA. I think Ifd vote for gTake a Chance on Me.h But I think I'd also like to hear them do a version in Japanese.

They've gotten away from covering bands with female vocalists - in fact Yumi said at one point that was on purpose. I think the last one they did was "Nantetatte Idol".

I'd actually like to see more covers like that, though, where they take a softer, poppier song and punk it up. The best covers are those songs that are such guilty pleasures that you can't even bring yourself to admit that you like them... until one of your favorite bands covers the song "ironically".

My suggestion: "Show Me the Way" by Peter Frampton. Ha! It's even kinda their style, if you just listen to the melody.

after their surprise Basketcase cover in 2005 for me ... I kinda wanna see them do Welcome to Paradise, but only because pre-Puffy , Green Day was my fav band growing up hehe

I saw that one interview with Puffy and the guy suggested Garbage songs ... that oddly strikes me as interesting, Only Happy When it Rains kinda puts a smile on my face - imagining the girls singing that =0

"Dogs" or "Echoes" by Pink Floyd, definitely. Grin Ami and Yumi could even practice their dancing during the long instrumental stretches.

Seriously, though, more classic rock is always good. I'm getting a little tired of the "punk" covers (or at least "Basket Case," because I still remember the first time that song was popular and got played everywhere, and now Puffy plays it all the time. I can't escape it!).

It would be interesting to hear their take on something completely out of left field, like "How Do You Sleep?" by John Lennon.

I am intrigued by this comment!

I think the girls could totally own "Apeman" by The Kinks. And if they covered anything by Queen I would explode. And they should do "Girls On Film" by Duran Duran! They would make it so much cooler.

Ooh ohh I think Puffy could cover....

"1000 words" by Sweetbow
"The meaning of Peace" by Koda Kumi & BoA
"Colors (for extreme)" by Dj Taka
"Fullmetal Alchemist (2nd Ending)" by Yellow Generation

Puffy is just awesome and I agree, if they cover some of Duran Duran's stuff, it would sound sweet!

I know Puffy are more into full-on ROKK when they do covers, but after hearing it on the radio the other day, I think they could do a killer cover of "In My Life" by The Beatles.

Puffy covering one of my favorite tunes ever?

i just saw the joe strummer documentary the other day, so how about a clash tune? "train in vain" and "should i stay or should i go" would be the obvious choices. "i'm not down" or "hitsville uk" would go down a treat. maybe even "rock the casbah". oh, i know..."police on my back". that would rock.

For some reason, I've always imagined Puffy covering "Dancing Queen" by ABBA. lol. That song would be perfect for them.
