Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra is a Japanese music group that has been playing together since 1985. The group maintains at least ten players and has crafted a unique style, combining elements of jazz, rock and big band music (referred to as Ska). Their instruments include the saxophone, trumpet and trombone as well as guitars, keyboards and drums.
The group, known more simply as "Suka Para" in Japan, was founded in 1985 with ten members. In 1989 they released the first of their eighteen albums, "Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra." They have made over 1,000 live performances, toured in the US and Europe and worked with many different musical groups, such as Shiina Ringo, Tamio Okuda and of course Puffy.
According to their official website the band's motto is "Professionalism without compromise" and "Kids at heart with no fear."
Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra have performed two songs with Puffy: Boogie-Woogie No. 5 and Hazumu Rhythm.
