Puffy was the inspiration for the American made cartoon the Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi Show. It ran for two seasons on the Cartoon Network from November 19, 2004 to June 27, 2006.

In the show animated versions of Ami, Yumi and their manager Kaz (based on real life manager Kaz Harada picture) go through a series of comic experiences living life as a traveling band. The real Ami and Yumi do small skits in between cartoon segments on the show.

Both seasons were released on two DVDs entitled Let's Go! and Rock Forever! They can be purchased at Amazon.com using the picture links at the top of the page.

Hi Hi in Japan Last I checked the Japanese version of the show was still running on Japan's Cartoon Network. DVDs of these shows (with fewer episodes per DVD) have also been released there.

Quotes from Ami and Yumi about the show

In an interview with LiveDaily Yumi said:
The Cartoon Network show has given us a great opportunity to introduce the music to a new audience. When we toured, after the Cartoon Network show started, so many little kids came to our show. We always wanted as many people as possible to listen to the music. In that sense, the Cartoon Network show is really important to us.
